Lake Superior

We just got home from a week of relaxing in Schreiber. Nick actually swam in Lake Superior...twice! Natalie was great on the plane, smiling at the people behind us, then eating for most of the trip. She entertained Grandma and Grandpa with her little squeals and her wiggles. She danced with her cousins and cuddled with her aunt and uncle in Thunder Bay. The week went by so fast! We are looking forward to our next visit..

 

Festival Italiano

Here is Natalie and Nick lazing briefly on the beach at the Elora Quarry. I love the way he looks at her. Natalie sat in the shallow water and squeezed the sand between her fingers. On Sunday, we went downtown to check out the chaos when Italy won the World Cup. Natalie fell asleep, safe against Dad's chest, despite all the yelling and honking.

Saturday, we went to some garage sales and I found some future Halloween costumes. I couldn't resist trying this one on though. She's laughing because I was absolutely gushing! Isn't she the most adorable baby ever?  

Canada Day Long Weekend

We kicked off the long weekend with a trip to the drive-in to see The Break Up. Natalie ate for most of the movie. On Saturday, we went to the market and then to a BBQ at Uncle Geordy's. On the way home, we decided to stop at the fireworks at Riverside Park. It started raining so I put her inside my jacket. I love the look on her face! She was so amazed and couldn't keep her eyes off the sky. She now weighs almost 14 pounds and is 24 1/2 inches long.
