UTI
We took Natalie to the ER Thursday night because her fever was quite high and had been for a few days, she wasn't eating her solids, very sleepy and most distrubing..not smiling. She has an X-ray where they stood her up and locked her in a plastic container, blood tests, an ultrasound (she fell asleep for that one). She narrowly escaped a catheter when she started peeing as they were about to insert in - a quick thinking nurse caught some pee mid-air. Then she was hooked up to an IV for a few days. So, we were told it was some sort of UTI, but it is not clear why. She may have to get an x-ray near the end of this week to make sure that things are flowing properly. We were discharged today with some antibiotics. Natalie was such a sport and is feeling much better. I think that she has lost a bit of her love for strangers though. I hope she never has to go through this again.
